We’ve reached the penultimate stage of the Southern Corridor Women’s Open Tackle competition with four teams remaining in the fight for a spot in next week’s Grand Final.
Stingrays have set up a semi-final clash with minor premiers Milton-Ulladulla on Sunday after defeating Warilla-Lake South in their Elimination Final last week. In their only other meeting this year, the Bulldogs came out on top 8-0 with Illawarra Steelers Harvey Norman Women’s representative Josie Strong (pictured) scoring all the points through a converted try and penalty goal.

Elsewhere, Como-Jannali defeated Jamberoo 22-0 to book their berth in the semi-finals, where they will meet Corrimal. Fresh from a week off, the Cougars will enter this match as favourites after winning their earlier encounter 10-0.

In the Under 18’s, Stingrays advanced to the Grand Final with a 30-6 win over Collegians in their major semi-final last Saturday.
Collies will take on the Corrimal in the Preliminary Final after the Cougars eliminated Cronulla Caringbah 24-8.
