Following wins on Saturday, Wests and De La Salle are three points clear of last year’s premiers Collegians after five rounds of the Mojo Homes Illawarra Cup. Both sides remain undefeated after sharing the points from a 20-all draw in Round Two.

The Devils went some way to erase memories of last year’s grand final loss to Collies with a 22-10 win at Collegians Sporting Complex.
Leading 6-4 at halftime, and with Collies centre Callan Briggs given an early shower for dissent just before the break, Wests took full advantage in the second stanza with three unanswered tries before a Ziek Foster consolation try with five minutes remaining.
De La Salle continued their impressive second season with a six-tries-to-three win over Corrimal, Tyla Tamou, and Jack A Williams, scoring doubles for the shire-based outfit.
Thirroul returned to the winner’s circle with a 32- 10 win over Dapto at Gibson Park to hold down fourth spot with a two-point gap over the Canaries. The Butchers host De La Salle next week in the Match of The Round.

In First Division, Wests defeated Collegians 28-16 to remain undefeated through five rounds. Helensburgh’s 22- 16 win over the Cougars gives the Tigers a slim for-and-against advantage over third-placed Collegians.
In Harrigan Shield action, Avondale defeated Corrimal 60-0, with Dylan Riggs scoring a hat-trick, while undefeated competition leaders Berkeley beat Figtree 30-12.
