All four grades are at Collegians Sporting Complex this Saturday for the Illawarra Steelers final round of the regular season.
The Steelers Tarsha Gale 19s (7-0) and Lisa Fiaola U17s (6-1) girls, who have both already secured their finals berth, will aim up against the Cronulla Sharks looking to take winning form into the business end of the season.
Meanwhile, the SG Ball (5-3) have left themselves with a must-win game against the North Sydney Bears to reach the finals after slipping to sixth on the ladder following consecutive losses. The Shaun Timmins-coached side was riding high with five wins from six starts before injuries took their toll over the last two weeks.
Elsewhere, the Steelers U17s boys (2-5) can finish off a disappointing season on a high with a win over the Bears in their final game.
Team News
Finally, Harold Matthews Cup Coach Jamie Szczerbanik has some good news. After an injury-riddled campaign, Szczerbanik has named the same line-up as last week for his side’s final game of the season.
Injuries to key personnel have forced changes upon Shaun Timmins’ SG Ball side, with Jackson Rieck coming into the line-up, replacing Seth Pearman at hooker. Braith Plecas moves from the interchange bench to replace Isaac Laughton in the second row. Hudson Bailey comes onto the interchange bench.
In Tarsha Gale Cup selections, Maria Paseka and Charlotte Basham return to the starting line-up after missing last week, with Brielle Luccitti and Rhian Yeo returning to the interchange bench.
Meanwhile, Brad Reh has moved Bridget Shearer from the interchange bench to fullback, replacing Kiara Kostovski. Kayliah Alvey is back in the front row after starting from the bench last week, with Jayda Lalic reverting to the second row. Eliza Taylor is the new interchange player.
