Round 4 Wrap – Steelers record third win in a row
Alicia-Kate Hawke’s Tarsha Gale Cup side kept their undefeated record intact with a 42-6 win over the Eels at New Era Stadium. Annabel McDonald and Teagan Berry crossing for two tries each in the eight tries to two victory. The 2019 premiers are now equal at the top of the ladder along with the Knights and Tigers.
Trailing the Eels 18-6 at halftime the Steelers SG Ball side managed to salvage a 20-all draw. Two second half tries and a penalty gave the visitors the lead 20-18 before the Eels levelled again with 15 minutes to go. The Steelers had several chances to secure a win with two field goal attempts going astray in the closing stages.
The Harold Matts U17’s boys went down to the Eels 28-12. Trailing 12-0 after half an hour the Steelers drew level early in the second stanza with tries to James Walsh and Kynan Clough before the Eels took control.
Steelers take on Dragons in triple header – Round 5 Fixtures and Team Lists
All three Junior Steelers teams feature in a triple header against the Dragons at Collegians Sporting Complex in Round 5 of the NSWRL Junior Representative fixtures this Saturday.
