A 34-18 defeat at the hands of the Newcastle Knights at Collegians Sporting Complex last Saturday leaves the Steelers Women’s Premiership side needing to beat the Tigers in the last round to be assured of a finals berth in their inaugural season.
Leading 12-4 at halftime through tries to Jade Etherden and Taliah Fuimaono, the Knights scored five unanswered tries before the hosts grabbed a consolation try to Teagan Berry in a disappointing second-half display in their last game on home soil.
While the Tigers are out of contention for the finals with a 4-5 win/loss record, they will be looking to finish their season on a high with another scalp.
