Senior Competitions Update – Wet Weather Rounds

Due to multiple washout rounds this season, including last weekend’s Round 11 matches, the IRL has been forced to change the remaining schedule to ensure competition integrity and fairness.

In the event of any future rounds in jeopardy of being washed out, all games scheduled for that round will be cancelled, as there are no more opportunities to play make-up games.

Harrigan Premiership

  • Round 4 – All fixtures will be played on the dedicated wet weather/spare weekend on 13 July.
  • Round 11 – Declared a washout; fixtures will not be played
  • The following washed-out fixtures will be played in Round 14*.
    • Round 3 – Collegians v De La Salle
    • Round 9 – Dapto v Thirroul

*The Wests v Corrimal game scheduled for Round 14 will not be played to ensure competition integrity. With the above changes implemented, all teams will play 14 games.

Harrigan Plate

  • Round 4 – All fixtures will be played on the dedicated wet weather/spare weekend on 13 July.
  • The Washout draw will be implemented for the following games. Each team will receive one point and a 20-all draw.
    • Round 3 (Collies v Helensburgh)
    • Round 5 ( Eagles v Devils)
    • Round 9 (Butchers v Canaries)
  • Round 11 | Declared a washout, fixtures will not be played, and each team will receive one point and a 20-all draw.

Harrigan Shield

  • Round 4 – All fixtures will be played on the dedicated wet weather/spare weekend on 13 July.
  • Round 5 – Berkeley Eagles v Wests Devils *TBA*
  • Round 9 – Northern Bulldogs v Avondale Greyhounds – a BYE will be implemented with the teams playing each other in Round 15
  • Round 11 – All fixtures have been declared a washout and will not be rescheduled. Teams affected will be awarded one point each and drawn in a 20-all match.
  • Round 14 – Corrimal vs Bulldogs will be moved from Round 15, freeing up the Bulldogs to play the Greyhounds in Round 15. Corrimal will have their BYE in Round 15.
