Round 8 Fixtures Saturday 8 September

A few upset results in Round 7 saw plenty of teams enhance their chances of featuring in grand finals on 26/27 September.

In the Open Age competition, Corrimal turned on a near faultless first half to run out 69-10 winners over Helensburgh. Avondale put another win under their belt to keep the heat on competition leaders Thirroul.

The South32 Illawarra Women’s League U18 competition remains very competitive with Dapto taking down competition leaders Corrimal last week to stay in the race for the top two.

In 2nd Division, Windang broke through for their first win against previously unbeaten Helensburgh, downing the Tigers 20-16.

This Saturday will see our live streamed Open Age match on BarTV between Helensburgh and Wests at 1.25pm. A win for either team keeps their hopes alive whilst the loser is gone for 2020.

Other games see Dapto host Corrimal at 3.10pm, and Avondale clash with the undefeated Thirroul at Dandaloo Sportsground at 3.10pm.
