Bendigo Bank continues support of grass roots rugby league

Illawarra Division Rugby League (IRL) is pleased to announce Bendigo Bank, Oak Flats and Shellharbour Community Bank Branches, has extended its partnership with the IRL for a fourth season.

The agreement will see Australia’s fifth-largest bank continue as the naming rights partner of the Bendigo Bank Illawarra Junior League, until the end of the 2020 season.

Bendigo Bank, Oak Flats and Shellharbour Community Bank Branches, Chairman Geoff Egan said his organisation was delighted to extend their major sponsorship for a further 12 months.

“We’ve enjoyed the last three years of sponsorship of the Bendigo Bank Illawarra Junior League, it’s been very rewarding to see participation numbers growing and great for our brand.”

“We are very pleased to be supporting rugby league at a grass-roots level.”

IRL Manager Chris Bannerman thanked Bendigo Bank and Chairman Geoff Egan for their ongoing support of junior rugby league in the region.

“To have our major sponsor back for another season is a great result for the junior league. I can’t thank Geoff and his staff enough for their ongoing support,” he said.

“We’ve built a great partnership with Bendigo Bank in recent years and with their help look forward to continuing to support and develop the game through our local clubs but also ensure their business goals are met,” Bannerman said.

The Bendigo Bank Junior Rugby League season gets underway on 21 March 2020 with the under 6-12 age-based competitions and Leaguetag.
