Illawarra Rugby League has a long and proud history, celebrating its centenary in 2011.
The region has bred many Kangaroos and Jillaroos, and continues to produce male and female players of high quality through the strong local competition network.
Our vision is to provide Rugby League opportunities for players of all abilities, ages and cultural backgrounds to improve their quality of life through participation and engagement in local Rugby League.
Illawarra District Rugby League Inc. is the governing body of all local senior and junior competitions, whilst Illawarra District Rugby League Football Club (Steelers) are engaged in NSWRL junior representative programs, and provide a player pathway to the St George-Illawarra Dragons NRL & NRLW teams.
